Privacy Policy
Courier ("the app") is published by DreamOTech. This policy explains what the app reads, where your data goes and what we do — and do not do — with it. The short version: we have no server and we receive none of your data.
1. What Courier reads
With your permission, the app reads the following from Apple Health on your iPhone: steps, exercise minutes, active energy, walking and running distance, resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), body mass, workouts and sleep. You may turn on additional metrics (for example flights climbed, stand hours, blood oxygen, nutrition) one by one; the app requests Health access only for the metrics you turn on. The app only reads from Apple Health; it never writes to it. You can change or revoke access at any time in the Health app or in iPhone Settings.
2. Where your data is processed and stored
- Daily summaries are calculated on your iPhone, in your time zone, and stored locally in the app (up to about 400 days).
- Courier does not operate a server. We do not receive, store, sell or share your health data.
- We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or analytics, and the app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
3. Where your data goes — only where you send it
The app sends your daily summary only to destinations you connect:
- Files: the on-device folder, or a folder you pick (for example in iCloud Drive or Dropbox). Files written there are subject to that provider's terms.
- Google Sheets: a spreadsheet created in your own Google Drive, using the
drive.filepermission, which lets the app access only files it created. Sign-in is handled by Google Sign-In. - Notion and Feishu / Lark: a database or table you specify, using credentials you provide.
- Webhook / Apps Script: an address you provide. Requests are signed with a secret that stays on your device.
- Markdown notes and Shortcuts: files in a folder you pick, or values returned to the Shortcuts app on your device.
Once data reaches a destination, it is handled under that destination's own privacy policy. You are responsible for choosing destinations you trust.
4. Credentials
Notion integration secrets, Feishu app secrets and webhook signing secrets are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device, not synced to iCloud and not written to logs or exported files. Google sign-in tokens are managed by the Google Sign-In SDK in the Keychain.
5. Google user data
If you connect Google Sheets, the app's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The app uses the drive.file scope only to create and update the spreadsheet you connect, and does not transfer Google user data to us or to third parties. You can disconnect in the app and revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
6. Purchases
Courier Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. We do not see or store your payment information.
7. Retention and deletion
- Local data: delete the app, or disconnect a destination in the app, to remove what the app stores on the device.
- Data already written to a destination (a file, spreadsheet, database or receiver) remains there until you delete it there.
8. Children
Courier is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app's release notes.
